Stocking Stuffers for Everyone GG

Eek! It’s here, it’s here! I have to be completely honest, I was not looking forward to tackling this “Stocking Stuffers for Everyone” Gift Guide. I always find that stocking stuffers are difficult because you don’t want to put all of your eggs in one basket stocking, so to speak.

There are definitely certain price points (ahem, low price points! ha) that we stick to for our stockings so that a hefty portion of the budget is reserved for other presents. I’m sure you can relate. I think the real challenge is finding practical, useful, and good quality items that are at a reasonable price point. I don’t like wasting money on frivolous things.

And you know me, I’m up for just about any shopping challenge. So once I got going down this little rabbit hole, I ended up enjoying myself quite a bit!

A Stocking Stuffer Formula

Here’s how I typically stuff our stockings – it’s a type of formula, you could say. And by the way, this is also a formula used to build out planters (which you may be familiar with). I’m just repurposing it and it happens to work well for stockings, too! haha

First, I find one moderately priced item that will be the Thriller. This could really be a small gift that is needed or wanted, but instead of wrapping it, you’re just including it in the stocking. Then, I may find a complimentary item that goes along with the thriller that is less expensive. This I’m calling the Spiller because it will “spill” from the thriller (same theme). And finally, I add a few smaller priced items that I call my Filler. These are items like chapstick, gum, mints, candy – things that are still useful or consumable that won’t take up space in the home. That’s it – remember KISS?! Keep It Simple Stupid. 🙂

This post contains affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases. This means that if you purchase an item using a link in my blog post, I may earn a small commission. This comes at no extra charge to you. Thank you for helping to support my blog.

Here are Examples using my Stocking Stuffer Formula:

For Him (who likes hot beverages):

  • Thriller – A good Tumbler
  • Spiller – his favorite coffee shop gift card (placed inside the tumbler!)
  • Filler – his favorite mints, candy, chapstick, socks, car coasters

For a Teenager (recently driving):

  • Thriller – Personalized Key Ring or a Key Organizer
  • Spiller – Gas gift card
  • Filler – car air fresheners, gum, ice-scraper, The Driving Book (also below)

Okay, now that we’ve discussed how to build stockings, let’s get to the actual goods, shall we? I’ve broken this post up by age for children (toddler through young adult) and then a “For Him” and “For Her” section. Be sure to look through all age ranges, as there are many that can be used for multiple groups. Enjoy!

I hope you’ve found a few good ideas or inspiration for knocking out your stocking stuffer lists this year! I always remind myself that stocking stuffers are a quality or quantity situation (IMO) when I’m feeling overwhelmed or stumped. That seems to help me narrow and focus my stocking stuffer gifts for each person.

I’d love to hear what your favorite stocking stuffers are! Do you have any unique items you always include? Please share in the comments below!

Have a wonderful holiday season!

To the Chaos!

Just a little PSA: homeownership takes work, especially out on an acreage. If you’re seeing well manicured landscapes and gardens in your feed, let this be a reminder that there’s also plenty of this happening behind the scenes.

Most feeds are a highlight reel; I like to throw in some real-life. If this resonates, follow along for more!

This is the easiest way to deter carpenter bees fr This is the easiest way to deter carpenter bees from areas you don’t want them. They can be very destructive to wood structures, and while they very rarely sting, they’re pesky little boogers.

I’ve added @pinesol to a few empty jugs, for the past few years, where they seem to gravitate (our lean-to) each spring and this works well at moving them along to another destination.

If you’re struggling with carpenter bees in your yard/landscape/property, give this a try! 🐝 You’ll bee happy you did!😉 Plus, it makes your outdoor living areas smell great when you catch a whiff in the breeze!

Ah, the “Let Them” theory… I have yet to rea Ah, the “Let Them” theory… I have yet to read Mel Robbins’ book, but I have a pretty good idea what it’s all about.

In motherhood, you have to a strike a balance between control and fostering independence. One way you can do that? LET THEM wear what they want.🙃 Truly. I promise it’s okay. I promise no one really cares. I also promise I have limits and certain occasions where I require the fam to dress “appropriately” for the occasion, but mostly, my kids dress themselves, and we’re all better off for it.

It makes my motherhood so much easier and their childhood more enjoyable.

Getting dressed is one of the first things your kids can do to foster independence and confidence! Give them the boundaries and guidance until they”get it”, and then LET THEM take it from there.

This is my 3 year old. He’s very independent and very opinionated about what he likes to wear (much like his big sister is). So, I stopped fighting him and he pops out of bed and gets himself dressed each day. Has he mastered “dressing for the weather/occasion”? Nope. But guess what, he’ll figure it out with natural consequences and some reminders from mom.

Until then, he’ll be wearing long pants, long-sleeved shirts, and cowboy boots just about every. dang. day. Oh, and socks…must. have. socks. 😂😅🫠
