Eek! It’s here, it’s here! I have to be completely honest, I was not looking forward to tackling this “Stocking Stuffers for Everyone” Gift Guide. I always find that stocking stuffers are difficult because you don’t want to put all of your eggs in one basket stocking, so to speak.
There are definitely certain price points (ahem, low price points! ha) that we stick to for our stockings so that a hefty portion of the budget is reserved for other presents. I’m sure you can relate. I think the real challenge is finding practical, useful, and good quality items that are at a reasonable price point. I don’t like wasting money on frivolous things.
And you know me, I’m up for just about any shopping challenge. So once I got going down this little rabbit hole, I ended up enjoying myself quite a bit!
A Stocking Stuffer Formula
Here’s how I typically stuff our stockings – it’s a type of formula, you could say. And by the way, this is also a formula used to build out planters (which you may be familiar with). I’m just repurposing it and it happens to work well for stockings, too! haha
First, I find one moderately priced item that will be the Thriller. This could really be a small gift that is needed or wanted, but instead of wrapping it, you’re just including it in the stocking. Then, I may find a complimentary item that goes along with the thriller that is less expensive. This I’m calling the Spiller because it will “spill” from the thriller (same theme). And finally, I add a few smaller priced items that I call my Filler. These are items like chapstick, gum, mints, candy – things that are still useful or consumable that won’t take up space in the home. That’s it – remember KISS?! Keep It Simple Stupid. đ

I hope you’ve found a few good ideas or inspiration for knocking out your stocking stuffer lists this year! I always remind myself that stocking stuffers are a quality or quantity situation (IMO) when I’m feeling overwhelmed or stumped. That seems to help me narrow and focus my stocking stuffer gifts for each person.
I’d love to hear what your favorite stocking stuffers are! Do you have any unique items you always include? Please share in the comments below!
Have a wonderful holiday season!
