Welcome back, friends! We’ve taken a bit of a hiatus from Fave Five Favorites blog posts over the past few months, but I’m excited to share my Fave Five Favorites, April 2021 shopping trip with you today!
This month was really fun to be out shopping because of the changing of the seasons! I love Springtime…it may very well be my favorite season. I find so much hope and joy in the warmer weather and regrowth outside. Let’s jump in to April’s Fave Five Favorites!
And, of course, I couldn’t keep it to just five items. I always do this. ha! But this month I really went crazy with 10 favorites! There were just too many good finds out there.

Fave Five Favorites #1: Bubble Machine
Okaaaaayyyy… this exceeded even my expectations. This was an Easter Basket gift for the kids to enjoy together. I thought a bubble machine would be an absolute Godsend this spring and summer so I wouldn’t have to blow one trillion bubbles. I was not wrong. But this Mega Bubble Blowing Machine is so cool even I found myself in a magical bubble wonderland!
Do yourself a favor and grab one of these bad boys! I found mine at Wal-Mart, but there are a ton out there to choose from! One thing to note, it goes through bubbles quickly, so stock up on bubble solution! You’ll be patting yourself on the back in between bubble chasing fun!
Price: $15 + Bubble Solution
Fave Five Favorites #2: Neutrogena Body Wash
I’ve now owned three different kinds of this Neutrogena Rainbath Body Wash and they’re all so good. First, they’re huge (40oz.)! I get mine from Sam’s Club, but you can likely find elsewhere. I haven’t been disappointed in a fragrance yet, and my skin feels hydrated and clean (no residue or film)!
The price tag may seem to be a little much, but this lasts me about six months, so I only purchase about twice a year. It lasts forever!
Price: $17.50/40oz.
Fave Five Favorites #3: Kristin Ess Products
I’ve been meaning to highlight the Kristin Ess line of hair products for a while now. I’ve been using them for over a year. I especially love the dry shampoo. I get the tinted version for brunette hair color, and it’s great!
Note: There is a bit of brown residue that I’ve noticed will come off on your comb or fingers after applying, but it’s tinted, so… not sure what you’d expect. I do not experience this once it’s been in for a while, just when I first apply it.
I’m loving the Volumizing Mousse since getting my hair cut, along with the Dry Texture Spray! I’ve also used the Curl Defining Serum and the Sea Salt Air Dry Spray. I haven’t been disappointed yet.
I buy at Target, but here’s the Amazon link to all products because they are the same exact price! If you’ve got an Amazon Prime membership, this may definitely be the route to go.
Price: varies $10 – $15/product
Fave Five Favorites #4: Reebok White Sneakers
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know I was on the hunt for a good pair of white sneakers! I’ve been eyeing this trend for quite a while and thought it was time I hopped on the bandwagon. I found a great pair of Reebok sneakers at TJMAXX and I am so happy with them!
They did take a few wears to break in and get really comfy, but they’re great now. I love that they’re a bit different than you’re typical straight white sneaker, but still give off the impression of such. Very versatile in your closet!
Go figure, I can’t find the link for them anywhere… here’s a very similar pair on Amazon.
Price: $40
Fave Five Favorites #5: Thermos Kids Water Bottle
This was another Easter Basket gift for the kiddos this year. I’d spent a fairly extensive amount of time researching kids’ water bottles, and I am so glad I stumbled upon these Thermos Funtainer ones (here’s the one G got). They check off every box for me. We’ve used water bottles on a daily basis for as long as I can remember. We’ve always used these Contigo ones, but I wanted to upgrade.
Here’s what I love about the Thermos Funtainer Water Bottles:
- Stainless steel double wall – I’m trying to get away from plastic, so this is a great alternative
- Removable straw – easy cleaning is always a win in my book
- Locking Leakproof Lid – While this isn’t leak proof when open, it is leak proof when closed. The kids can easily open and shut the lids on their own, and are good at closing them when not drinking.
- Silicone Bumper – This is harder to find on water bottles, but since my kids are still pretty little it was a big item I really wanted if possible!
- Size – The Funtainer is 12 oz. which gets us a couple more ounces to get through before a refill. It’s a nice size for toddlers +, and it fits much better in car seat cup holders than the Contigo did!
- Carrying Handle – I loved that our Contigo water bottle had a handle for easy grabbing and carrying for little hands. I like even better that the Funtainer’s handle is collapsable, so it’s not always in the up position.
Price: $17/each (ish)
Fave Five Favorite Bonuses!
#6: Member’s Mark 4pc. Kids Pajamas
These Member’s Mark 4pc. pajama sets from Sam’s Club are 100% cotton and a steal of a deal at just $10. I size up one since they are fitted so they last a bit longer. This was the perfect option for spring/summer PJs that we need. I added these to our Easter Baskets, as well.
Here’s the boy versions online. In-store you can get a 4pc. for $10. Here are the online girl versions in the 8pc. set for $20.
Price: $10 (in-store)/4pc. set
#7: Dinosaur Jig Saw Puzzle and Figurines
I wanted to share this and the next item because they were great gifts my oldest received for his 4th birthday! I had given out ideas when asked what he needed, and this gifts hit it out of the park!
This first one is a 3-in-1 Jigsaw Puzzle Set + Dino Figurines. Each puzzle is a different size and difficulty level, which is awesome! And it come with the wood box to store it all in! Then, this set comes with 12 dinosaur figurines for play. There’s also a booklet detailing each dinosaur. So cool! Myles has really been enjoying this!
#8: Dinosaur Rain Jacket
This is a great quality Dinosaur Rain Jacket from Carter’s. But the kicker with this is that the white dinosaurs change color when they get wet in the rain! So fun! This will last M quite a while, and I was tickled he got it as a gift.
#9: Pizza Kit
This Molinaro’s Thin-Crust Pizza Kit was a great find at Sam’s Club this month! We have been enjoying making our own pizzas here at home instead of using frozen all the time. This kit includes five thin crusts + five individual sauce packets!
The real treat with this is that it comes with a resealable bag to freeze the crusts and sauce you don’t use right away! Boom! This is a Monthly Shopper’s dream to make things last throughout the month! We typically do a pizza meal once a week, so this works out very well for our family of four.
Price: $8
#10: Blueberry Plants
I always love the variety of plant bulbs and edible fruit and veggie starts that Sam’s Club has. This month I got a pack of two blueberry plants that are ready to plant! I’m so excited to get them in the ground. When we start doing more of our landscaping work, I’ll definitely be checking out the selection at Sam’s Club.
They always seem to have cool live house plants and succulents, too!
Price: $17/two-pack
Whew! That was a lot, but I hope you enjoyed April’s Fave Five (or ten) Favorites! Until next month, happy shopping, friends!
